Crisis Support

NURT is a directory and referral platform. It is not an emergency service and is not monitored for urgent crisis situations.

Get immediate help now

If you or someone else is in immediate danger, call 911 or go to the nearest emergency department.

If you are in Canada and need urgent mental health support, call or text 988 for the Suicide Crisis Helpline.

When to use emergency support

Seek urgent help right away if you are experiencing any of the following:

  • Thoughts of harming yourself or someone else
  • A mental health crisis that feels unsafe or unmanageable
  • Severe panic, disorientation, or inability to care for yourself
  • Risk related to substance use, overdose, or withdrawal

About NURT inquiries

Messages sent through clinician profile pages are not a substitute for urgent care. Response times vary and clinicians may not be immediately available.

For non-urgent support, you can still use the directory to find a clinician whose profile matches your needs.
