Terms of Service
These terms describe the basic rules for using the NURT platform as a visitor, psychotherapist, or admin.
Last updated: June 3, 2026
Platform role
NURT provides directory, referral, profile management, and inquiry tools. It does not provide medical advice, psychotherapy, crisis intervention, diagnosis, or emergency response services.
User responsibilities
By using the platform, you agree not to misuse it. This includes, for example:
- Submitting false, misleading, or abusive content
- Attempting unauthorized access to other accounts or admin functions
- Using the platform for spam, scraping, or unlawful activity
Psychotherapist responsibilities
Psychotherapists are responsible for the accuracy of their profile content, credentials, availability, fees, and communications with clients. NURT may review, approve, suspend, or remove profiles at its discretion.
Psychotherapists are also responsible for using NURT in a way that is consistent with their professional, legal, consent, documentation, and privacy obligations.
Client information and consent
When using NURT to handle client or session information, psychotherapists agree to:
- Collect, enter, upload, or process client information only when they are authorized to do so
- Obtain appropriate client consent before using audio capture, live transcription, or AI-assisted summary tools
- Use meeting audio capture only when the client understands that both sides of an online session may be transcribed
- Review transcripts, speaker labels, notes, and generated summaries before relying on them or keeping them as part of a record
- Avoid entering information that is unnecessary for the intended clinical, administrative, billing, or platform workflow
AI and transcription tools
NURT transcription and AI summary tools are documentation aids. They may be incomplete, inaccurate, delayed, or misattribute speakers. Psychotherapists remain responsible for reviewing and editing any transcript, summary, note, or other generated content before using it.
Psychotherapists should not copy client information, transcripts, prompts, or summaries into external AI tools or third-party services unless they have a lawful basis, appropriate safeguards, and consent where required.
Access, correction, and incidents
Psychotherapists are responsible for responding to client access and correction requests that relate to records under their custody or control. NURT may provide technical tools, such as client record exports, to help support those workflows.
Psychotherapists agree to cooperate with NURT when investigating suspected unauthorized access, disclosure, loss, misuse, or other privacy or security incidents involving the platform.
No guarantee of matches or outcomes
NURT does not guarantee that users will find a therapist, receive a response, secure an appointment, or achieve any specific clinical outcome from using the platform.
Changes to these terms
We may revise these terms from time to time. Continued use of the platform after updated terms are published constitutes acceptance of those revised terms.
